With Version II, which fits the Garmin Zumo XT or XT2, you get the original BMW adapter kit and a ZUMO XT or XT2 mounting base and wiring harness with the matching BMW plug already installed. Thus, eliminating the need to solder or crimp the plug onto the wiring harness.

With the Zumo XT2 the wiring harness is custom cut to eliminate the need to hide an additional 2-3 feet of wiring that comes with the Zumo.

1300 GS Owners.  If ordering Version II to use with a Zumo XT2, let us know and your wiring harness/base will be made a custom length, NO EXTRA CHARGE.  This makes it easier to install and there is no extra wiring to hide. 

With the Zumo XT the wiring harness is left at the factory length.  This also deletes a couple of steps of the original installation.

This is also a great if you need an additional ZUMO XT or XT2 base so you can use your ZUMO XT or XT2 on an additional motorcycle

Description

If you are upgrading your Garmin NAV V/VI to a Garmin Zumo XT or XT2 GPS this locking adapter will solve your problem and allow you to mount the Zumo XT or XT2 in the same place as your BMW Garmin NAV V/VI.

You need to have a BMW NAV base as shown in the pictures and have a Garmin Zumo XT or XT2 to use this adapter. This adapter will only work for that configuration and used with the Zumo XT or XT2 Nav base that is included with the purchase of the Zumo XT or XT2

The BMW Adapter works with BMW 1200 GS/GSA , 1250 GS/GSA , 1300GS and any BMW that has the BMW Nav base

The BMW adapter makes it possible to mount the Zumo XT or XT2 in the BMW factory NAV Base and lock the Zumo  securely in place. The adapter allows the Zumo XT or XT2 to be installed in the factory NAV base restoring the factory lock and retaining the factory appearance, preventing the need for aftermarket mounts on your handle bars.

Once complete, the entire assembly can be connected to the vehicle ensuring voltage supply to the unit for charging and ignition control.

When complete, the Zumo only sticks out an additional ½ inch towards the rider allowing full view of the instrument cluster.

The BMW Adapter Version II sells for $139.99 however, when the buyer returns their original Zumo XT or XT2 wiring harness and base that came with their ZUMO XT or XT2 they will receive a $60 refund. Return instructions are included in the kit. Return postage is included.
